Skin Care Tip - Avoid Inflammation

Skin Care Tip - Avoid Inflammation

Contributed by: Aria Health Esthetician, Anna Broggi

Your skin encounters irritants on daily bases. These irritants are foreign to your body and therefore produce an immune system response. Certain skin care ingredients, the sun's UV radiation, processed food, stress and your body's hormonal changes can all work together to inflame your skin.

Not only can this be painful and irritating, but continuous inflammation of the skin can lead to premature aging.  So, what can we do to keep our skin healthy and vibrant?

First, we should avoid eating, drinking or applying ingredients that cause inflammation.

Let's be extra critical of the skincare products we use.  Look for products that use organically grown, wild crafted and pesticide free extracts, 100% organic essential oils, and ingredients that are pure, natural, organic and vegetarian (no animal or human derived ingredients.)

Plus, try incorporating ingredients that are anti-inflammatory into our daily routine.  These include things like green tea, grape seed extract, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Turmeric.

With just a little bit of work, our skin should feel less irritated and look healthier and more vibrant.
