Do you have a special tradition that takes place around the holidays? For most, at least one memory comes to mind regardless of whether it's an old or new tradition. Each family has their own customs and we want to know what yours are. Maybe you prepare a meal for the family or perhaps you go to the Thanksgiving Day parade on the parkway.

At Aria, we are committed to being your caring neighbor, promoting healthy lifestyles, offering preventative care and engaging our community. This holiday season, we want your family to be healthy and happy.

Why not make a new tradition of scheduling your next health screening, participating in a wellness class or simply making time rest and relax? After all, being healthy allows you to have a long life full of memories and traditions.

So tell us: What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

I either cook the turkey upside down..or forget to defrost on time.. so we end up having Wawa turkey bowls..and postponing it for a few days..it never happens on the day..THAT has become our tradition!

My husband will sneak the game on now and then and we get to spend quality together time together. Then we all basically stuffed ourself from the great food and fixings before we departed to do some of our holiday shopping.

Our entire family, along with my sister-in-laws family, get together at my brother's home. This way both families are together and no one feels the need to choose where to go or has to leave early to go see others. Everyone brings a dish and my brother cooks the turkey our friends raise on their farm for us. After dessert everyone helps clean up, the it is show time. The young kids put on a song and dance show. We end the night watching A Charlie Brown Christmas!

We usually go to the Radisson for Thanksgiving. Everyone has to mention at least something to be thankful for. Sometimes we keep going around and around, taking turns, mentioning all the things we are thankful for.

In the past Thanksgiving was usually spent with a house full of family. Since some have passed away, my daughters have moved out and nieces and nephews have gotten older and started their own families, reluctantly, things have changed a little. It's pretty much who isn't working or visiting in laws etc... get together now. Being with family, regardless of how many can make it, is an important tradition. We gather at my sister's house, I make mimosas, and we prepare the food. We laugh and joke around, the guys play darts and watch football. Everyone pitches in with making food, everyone has a specialty. The day always ends with everyone feeling full, happy and feeling blessed.

I head to zumba class early in the am. When I get back, I stuff and put my turkey in the oven. While that is cooking, I search all of the great black Friday ads in the local newspaper. A few hours later, the whole family is over for a great night of fun and food. Hours later, and after our bellies are full and the dishes are done and the family has left, I sleep for a few hours. I wake around midnight and head out for some Black Friday Shopping.

Easy -- wake up for the MACYS parade on TV (staying in pajamas); showering and dressing before the big meal; eating the big meal; lying on couch to watch FOOTBALL. And DEFINITELY no shopping. It's about family time, goofs! The shopping can wait.
